Basics and method, expenditure and costs

The 3D-models are created on the basis of maps, blueprints, photographs and descriptions. We use either material that is made available by the customer e.g. to realize a specific reconstruction, or material that is based on our own investigations (from research in libraries to specially made surveys).
The grade of elaboration of the models differs individually, adapted to the purpose of the graphic and the desires of the customer.
A plain schematic model can be helpful to explain findings; for example by fading it into a photograph of the object´s actual state, or by distinguishing different phases with different colours and eventually animating them, showing the succession of the phases.
Using carefully composed textures, an appropriate adjustment of lights and shades and effects such as haze or fire one can on the other hand achieve a realistic, highly specified graphic.

The models of the single objects can be combined to complex structures or sceneries and inserted in an apt environment, e.g. a certain landscape. The final result can be presented as a single picture, slideshow or movie. Please refer to our examples.

Charges for such a visualisation depend on the individual expenditure of work which differs according to the object and the desires of the customer, so that general estimates cannot be given.
The expenditure of work depends on the following factors:

- complexity and dimensions of the object
- type and quality of the plans
- degree of elaboration (details of architecture, maps or textures, environment)
- final presentation (single pictures, slideshow or movie).

To give an idea of the price level: A plain schematic 3D-model of a single object can be produced from about 10-15 hours upwards; an architectural model (with maps and textures, specific lighting and as a final result different single pictures from different angles), depending on its complexity, from about 50 hours upwards. Hourly rates are charged at 40,- € plus 16% V.A.T., but a fixed fee may also be agreed.
